The Wutachschlucht, the Grand Canyon of the Black Forest, (about 25 km) is for any hiking enthusiast an unforgettable adventure.

The wild and deeply cut into Schlüchtal (Canyon valley)fatures an espectacular rocky landscape with high and extensive stone runs that can reach up to 100m.

Cross-country ski-tracks that extend for kilometres, family-friendly ski lifts and steep slopes ideal for tobogganing will warm the hearts of not only those sports enthusiast. The Feldberg is the largest ski area in the Black Forest and accessible within 30 minutes by car.

The highlight of any holiday for a child is the visit to an amusement park. For this purpose you can go to the Schwarzwaldpark in Löffingen (ca.40km), the Steinwasenpark in Oberried, the Vogelpark (a bird sanctuary) both at about 60km away and of course to the well-known and largest amusement park of Germany. The Europa-Park, located in Rust near the city of Freiburg (about 110km).
Starting from the Southern Black Forest you can reach lots of interesting cities and places worth seeing in southern Germany as well as in Switzerland and the Alsace area in France.
